I’m Heather, and from September 2005 until March 2012 I published this blog as I went through the last weeks of my pregnancy, my first weeks of motherhood and the six years that came after. I no longer keep up this blog and a few months after writing my last post, I shut down the self-hosted site I maintained and migrated all my posts back to a no fuss, no muss WordPress hosted site. I like to think of this as a retirement home for the blog. I know it’s safe here and I’m able to visit when I get a little nostalgic.
If you are visiting this site for the first time, I should warn you any links that refer back to other posts within the blog are most likely broken. It seems WordPress does not allow its tethered users much liberty in choosing a permalink structure, so all the internal links refer back to posts on the old, self-hosted site that has since been taken down. I have considered going back through each post to fix the internal links, but honestly, I’m really not that ambitious. If you really want the back story about whatever I happen to be yammering on about, I suggest you start at the beginning.
If you happen to look at my archives, you’ll see my posts actually start in August, 2004. Those were from an earlier blog I abandoned after writing only a dozen posts over a six month period . It seems I didn’t have much to write about until I got pregnant, so for me the beginning actually starts on September 27, 2005.
